The MK23 is used by the player in multiple missions. A SOCOM variant is the starting weapon in Final Isle.
The MK23 is the default pistol unlocked. It has a nice two hit kill up close to a medium range which can be extended by both the Long Barrel and Muzzle Brake. For a damage per shot area, the MK23 is only beaten out by the Gsh-18. However its firecap is reachable and its moderate recoil makes it less friendly for trigger spamming. Of the four standard pistols (Desert Eagle as an exclusion) the MK23 has the highest recoil. Despite this, a loss of accuracy is not a large factor, since the weapon will have settled enough not to be terribly thrown off for the next shot.
Overall the MK23 works as a reliant backup weapon and is even capable of being a primary weapon at CQC given good circumstances. It pairs well with players using light machine guns, marksman or sniper rifles to give more of a fighting chance outside their comfortable range.
The MK23 appears as the first weapon tier in Gun Game where it is equipped with a Tactical Knife.

The MK23 can be selected as a starting pistol for Rampant. It is purely semi-automatic and has good damage as well as excellent range.
Shade: Eagle EyeEdit
The MK23 pistol is commonly seen both in use and holstered by Shade operatives. The Eagles however, do not use the pistol.
- The MK23's reload speed remains the same as well as the arming animation, regardless if the pistol is empty or not.
