The AUG A3 is the only assault rifle absent from the main campaign.
Multiplayer[]
Unlocked at level 41, the AUG A3 boasts a higher fire rate than most other rifles available and its low recoil allows it to be fielded at moderate and possibly even long range fights. The kick is still susceptible to throw off aim if fired in full auto, so at longer distances, firing in burst streams can keep the sights accurately on target.
In terms of damage, the AUG A3 is on the lower end of the spectrum, but still maintains a 3 shot kill up to moderate distances which can edge out to 3 at the fringe of its effective range.
Equipping the Muzzle Brake can make it a maximum of 4 shot kill within its entire reaching distance, making it a rather valuable attachment to maximize lethality. Other useful attachments are Select Fire, which can reduce its fire mode to a burst for longer ranges and the Quickdraw Handle for more mobile style of play.
Like the AUG from Call of Duty: Black Ops, instead of the traditional ACOG Scope, the AUG A3 will instead feature the Swarovski Scope with an analog circle and dot to where the player shoots. This can be particularly helpful against EMP attacks.
